Time has come

Looking gaunt and pale
I wait for my call
The call that had been long coming
But my folks wouldn’t let go of me

I remind them the law of impermanence
Whisper to them the songs of unrequited love
The tales of blessed togetherness
And the waiting farewell

My spectral thin skin
My feeble wan look
Sends chill to their heart
For now my time has come.
